Happy St. Patrick's Day!

The weather was beautiful in New York this weekend!  We left the apartment at 10 am on Saturday morning and didn't come home until supper time.  The kids were exhausted but we had a great day!

We started off by going to the Annual St. Patrick's Day parade.  We should have left a little earlier to get a better seat.  Luckily the nice people in front of us offered to Blake and Carly to stand in front of them.  So they had front row seats.

Carly spent part of the time on Rodney's shoulders holding up her picture of St. Patrick that she made at Religious Ed class.  Ms. Kathlene would be proud!

 Avery loves music and clapped and bobbed her head to all the bands passing by.

After we tired of the men in skirts and bag pipes we headed towards home.  But no one was ready to go inside so we stopped at the school yard and we waited while Rodney walked the two blocks home and grabbed some balls and scooters to play with.  A few friends from school were here too so the kids played for a long time and Avery was very content to watch all the action from her stroller.

As we were finishing up at the yard another friend called and wanted to meet at a park in central park.  So we ran home, dropped our balls and scooter and filled the bag back up with water and snacks and headed out again.  Avery LOVES to swing, and spent almost an hour just hanging out.  The other two moved to fast in this park for me to get pictures.  The family we met have 3 kids, a son in Blake's class and twin 3 yr olds (boy and girl).
