Grandpa John and Grandma Nancy Visit NYC

We just ended a WONDERFUL week with my parents in NYC.  They visited for the week of Spring Break and it was so much fun and full of very special memories.

Our Week in a nutshell:

 Saturday
 Eat at Big Daddy's for lunch
Central park reservoir, Belvedere Castle
Radio City Music Hall
Time square
Rockefeller center
NBC news
St Patrick's cathedral
Dylan's Candy Bar
Ordered in that night--Chirpin Chicken

Sunday
 Went to church
 Lunch at home

Walked to the museum--watched the Greek Day parade for a few minutes
Museum of Natural History
Shake shack for supper
Emack and Bolios for Dessert
Walked home from the west side thru the park
Stopped to see the Magnolia trees and take pictures

 We did not make them do this....but they insisted on taking notepads so they could "take notes".

Monday
Dropped the kids at school
Taxi down to Macy's to shop
Eat Lunch at Macy's
More shopping!

Pick up kids from school--notice the chaotic pictures below.
Chinese Food at home---Dad even had it!  We joked that his was called "bow wow" chicken.  I can't believe I didn't take pictures of this, could be the last time ever!

Tuesday (we didn't do well with pictures this day)

Shopping around home
Hand Treatments at LOaccatine--even Dad enjoyed one!

Met Rodney for Lunch at an Irish Pub

Picked up the kids from school, went to Little Brown Coffee
Dinner at Il Mulinos--kiddos stayed with a sitter

Thursday
Staten island ferry ride
Statue of Liberty (from the ferry)

Ellis Island (from the ferry)
New World Trade Center
Au Bon pan sandwich place
Bowling Green park
Bull
Walked to 59th St. thru Central Park

Bethesda Fountain 
Horse and carriage ride with kids
Pop Burger for supper

Friday
School with the kids for Parents as Learning Partners
Dos Totors--guacamole!
Local deli for salad and quiche
Game night with the kids--Carly got bored with Clue and decided to feed Avery for us, it actually went really well and was a big help so Avery didn't crash the game.
Pizza from Don Fillipos--our favorite!
Big beer night!

We had so much fun!  Mom and Dad, thanks for making the trip and being a part of our weekly routine.  You were a huge help and the kids loved having you here.  Looking forward to being close to our families come July!  6 years is a long time to be away!
