They were "SOOO hungry" so we walked to the Met just down the street and got a hot dog and pretzel for lunch. We decided to eat on the steps of the Met because we had happened upon the Steuben Day parade.
Here are the kids having their lunch...
Blake started with a pretzel but that wasn't enough to fill up this growing boy. He also wants to go and order and pay for his own food now too. So I sent him to to the hot dog cart and he looked back at me from the line with a big smile and a thumbs up.
It just makes me smile, looking at him in line waiting for the hot dog guy to yell "NEXT". I told Blake before he went he had to speak up loud and clear when it was his turn. The guys that run these trucks move fast so you better be ready with your order when they are.
After lunch we watched the parade for a while.
They were a bit disappointed that they weren't throwing candy....but then they got German flags instead and all was well. It was a neat parade which prompted a few questions about Germany...most I could answer...and then the sweet old people next to us helped with the hard ones.
And once again, Avery watches on from the stroller. She loved all the music and the old ladies next to us who gave her lots of attention.
